LegalFeeGuard will offer Insurance for Liability under Georgia's Offer of Settlement Statute.
LegalFeeGuard is an insurance program that covers liability for attorney’s fees and costs under Georgia’s Offer of Settlement statute (O.C.G.A. 9-11-68). Attorneys can purchase the insurance on behalf of their client using a credit card on the www.legalfeeguard.com website. The program is underwritten by an A.M. Best ‘A-’ (Excellent) rated carrier on a surplus lines basis and is currently available for cases heard in Georgia’s State Courts or Federal Courts applying Georgia law. Policy limits range from $10,000 to $250,000.

The premiums charged for a policy depend on when the policy is purchased. Three pricing tiers exist: (1) policies purchased within 30 days of the first Offer, (2) after 30 days of the first Offer, and (3) those within 90 days of trial.
